二、祝贺信

祝贺信是对收信人在某方面取得成功或可喜可贺的事情进行的道贺，还会表达祝福及期望等。第一段说明事由并表达祝贺：I’m writing to convey my warm congratulations on your graduation /promotion/ admission. Your own intelligence and diligence have earned you this achievement.

第二段展开事件，赞扬收信人的能力及取得成功的原因，并展望他的未来的美好前景。I must say that I was not surprised to hear this good news. I know how industrious and perseverant you have always been in order to realize this dream. 第三段再次表示祝贺：Again, congratulations and best wishes for your future life and work.

三、邀请信

邀请信涉及的场景比如参加聚会、共度假期、来访故乡等。第一段表明写信的目的;受邀人要参加的活动的时间地点;表示对对方到来的期待：I am writing this letter to invite you to .活动时间地点。We would be honored to have you there with us.

第二段详述活动安排。对于邀请的不是很熟悉的人要简单赞美一句。接下来叙述一天的活动安排：开始、中间、结束或者对于一段时间的安排：介绍家或家乡、去哪里游玩的安排。

第三段表明希望对方能来，再一次诚挚的邀请，并期待回复。If you don’t have any prior appointment on时间，I will look forward to your arrival. Before you come, please give me a call. I will wait for you . I really hope you can come.
